As the Drummer and Percussionist for the rock-based pop band, the Wooly Vicars (www.woolyvicars.com), Claire often spends her free time dreaming of the next percussion piece she is going to add to her arsenal of rhythmic tools. She primarily plays a trejon drum because that's just the kind of edgy she is! Claire and the band are enjoying the Austin Texas Music scene and have released their first album, Dynamite.

Claire’s percussion obsession began at Pulse Drumming in Ventura, California in 2005. She studied Irish instruments (bodhran, bones and spoons) with Aaron Plunkett and Trey O’Toole. In addition, she learned doumbek techniques from renowned Arabic musician Souhail Kaspar. Claire also plays the djembe, bongos and hand percussion too numerous to list.

Claire currently has an empowering new project in the works that involves establishing a national non-profit organization to build confidence through cajons for girls well as assisting elementary schools in obtaining cajons for their music departments. She believes in the power of the cajon, the therapeutic effects of drumming and helping girls become drummers if they so desire. Claire's cajon dreams are fueled by the fact that she wasn't allowed to play drums when she was young because, "Girls don't play drums." Ah, revenge is so sweet when it helps others. Now is the time to get the wool outta of yer ears!

Claire McDaniel is an Integrative Wellness Specialist who often combines massage sessions with a variety of healing modalities. In addition, she provides separate energy healing sessions as well as Life Coaching if needed. Claire is also an animal intuitive with extensive companion animal experience.

She is a 2006 graduate of the Massage Therapist program at Academy of Somatics and Massage in Oxnard, California where her studies included Full Body Swedish Massage, Advanced Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Acupressure, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Chair Massage. Claire received her certificate for Quantum-Touch in 2006.

Claire studied energy healing at the Light in the Dark Institute. Her studies included Yogi and Dzogchen philosophy under Swami Stone who was trained by Yogi Master Elinore Hill of the Theosophical Society and Spiritualist Traditions in California. She earned her Doctor of Divinity degree in 2003 as well as certificates in Reiki Seichim, Vibrational and Attunement Therapy, Lightning Fire Touch Reiki and Shamanic Healing, as well as other alternative healing methods. Aromatherapy studies include being certified as a Star Essence Practitioner in 2006 and certified by the Center for Aromatic Research and Eduction in 2013 for essential oils.

Claire received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kansas State University in Journalism/Advertising. Other studies include a graduate-level program in Paralegal Litigation at UCLA School of Law and a Recording Engineer Diploma from the Institute of Audio/Video Engineering in Hollywood, CA. She has a brown belt in Okinawan Gyo-Ryu Karate.
